Hello everyone :)
Since I only recentely got active on livejournal I decided to introudce myself to everyone ^^
I'm Annemarie, 18 years old, and an otaku.
I love anime and manga, but I also love reading and listening to music.
I fan of a lot of bands and groups, though I usually listen to their music and know little about the people in those groups.

Exeption to that rule is Arashi which I adore. I'm a big arashi fan and also a big Ikuta Toma fan. I've recently gotten into Hey! Say! JUMP, and kis-my-ft2, though mostly hsj
My ichiban JE boy is Matsumoto Jun and my Niiban is Ikuta Toma. I love them. I also love Yaotome Hikaru <3 he's so cute.

Favourites:Collapse )
15 random things about meCollapse )Well, that's about it, I think :) Nice to meet you ^^

Soring Final review is here :)
Lots of screenshots taken during the season:

full pictures here

Medaka Box 6/10
Medaka is a total Mary Sue. She can do anything. Battle arc at the end made no sense at all. According to the people who read the manga the manga only gets good well after anything that's been in the anime. Shiranui was amazing though. One of the best anime characters of the season. Here evil tendencies, and her totally cute looks result in an epic character, and probably the only reason I liked it a little. I might watch the second season, since people say the manga picks up later. I might not, depending on how many better series will be airing at the same time.

Sakamichi no Apollon 8/10
Jazz is not my favourite music at all. I didn't like the music they preformed in the series either. But the drama and plot was great. especially the earlier episodes were really great. It slowed a bit towards the ending, and somehow the last episode didn't feel as good as the rest, but it wasn't bad either.

Tsuritama 6/10
Fishing anime. It was pretty bad. it was boring, and ridiculous. Of course it didn't help that I didn't like any of the characters. The voice acting was great however. But I wouldn't recommend this anime to anyone, except weird fishing fans xD. Maybe Ohno would like it?

Shining Heart ~Shiawase no Pan~ 5/10
It had some nice episodes, but it was boring. Melty was a great character. As well as her familiar Sorbet, who had one of the best voice actors of the season.

AKB0048 10/10 *three episodes left*
Best series of the season. Guerilla idols. Performances, catchy songs, battles and likable characters. The best female characters of the season are concentrated in this series. I actually like the performances in the series better then the actual akb48 performances. It has mystery in it as well, and I look forward to watching it every week. The only problem I have is that I miss some of the in-jokes. I'm not really an AKB fan, so I don't know all those things.

Hiiro no kakera 7/10
It started out great, but slowed down near the middle. It has some great shipping hints, but seeing everyone get beaten all the time isn't what I was looking forward to. And the clichéd ending didn't help either. Will watch the next season however, for more Takuma, as well as the fact I heard the game gets better after the first halve. I hope it's the same for
he anime.

Kimi to Boku 2 8/10
It's the same old, same old. It's the same as the first season. Not much character development, although Chizuru's confession was great. New shipping possibilities opened up, making it interesting.

Kuroko no Basket 8/10 *on going*
Great series, because of the epic characters. Even better is the adorable epic Kurokocchi. Kurokocchi is not your average sports hero. He has the talent of invisibility, but isn't able to do much else. However he is love <3 I'd recommend this series just for Kuroko, but there are a lot of other interesting characters as well, in the Seirin team as well as the generation of miracles.

Fate/Zero 2 10/10
Fate/zero's continuation. It was a strong as the first season, with epic battles and even better characters. This season showed some great development for my already beloved Kiritsugu, which made me like him even more. It showed a bit development for Saber as well, though she is still as uninteresting as ever. Massive plot-twist near the end, though you probably knew this if you'd watched fate/stay night. But I hadn't so to me it was a plot-twist :P Must watch for everyone ^^

Hyouka 10/10 *ongoing*
Great mystery series, with the best male character of the season, Oreki Houtarou. He is lazy, and extremely smart. He can solve any mystery in a second (okay not really that fast, but you get what I mean right). The animation is by kyo-ani, so top notch, and Nakamaru Yuuichi does a great job voicing Oreki (well, he is one of my favourite seiyuu's so that was to be expected). I highly recommend it to anime fans, mystery fans, slice-of-life fans, kyo-ani fans and everyone else <3

Acchi kocchi 7/10
Cuteness square. Tsumiki might just be the most fluffy anime character I've ever seen. This series was okay, nothing special. The comdey was more often miss than hit with me, but it was still enjoyable. Mayoi and Sakaki were the light of this series, and the ones that made me smile.

Mourestu Pirates 4/10
The most boring show of the season. (To the point that I forgot to review this show the last final review.) 26 episodes is way to much to watch space pirates. Especially if they are boring space pirates. Some episodes in the middle were okay, but other then that, bnothing going on, nothing good, boring. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unless you're a space pirates addict, maybe. (But they aren't even pirates, they are more entertainers.

Fairy Tail 8/10 *on going*
I caught up with Fairy Tail and watched this season as it was airing. I generally love fairy tail, but this season wasn't good. It brought down my over-all score from 9 to 8, and if I were to rate just this season it would probably get around a 5. Butt-gang or whatever was annoying, and everyone suddenly being incredibly weak from the time-skip was aweful as well. I hope it gets better in the new season.

Area no Kishi 6/10 *on going*
This started out great. It became less and less interesting with each episodes. I generally don't like watching sports. Why do I like sports anime? Things that aren't possible happen. There are amazing personalities. Well, area no kishi is missing these things. Just watching soccer games is boring. I don't like it, but of course the real soccer fan would love this.

Furusato Saisei: Mukashi no Banashi 7/10 *on going*
Short segments showing Japanese folk-tales. The voice acting is amazing, and although this is a childs show, it's enjoyable.

I made a super big mistake yesterday. I'd been having some problems with my external hard drive, and I read something that was supposed to help. I had to check my 'partitions'. I don't really know what they are, and what they do, but they are important. Then instead of clicking check partitions, I accidentally clicked remove all partitions. I wanted to immediately cancel, but unfortunately, it was to late. Everything gone. My drama's my anime, my music, and in essence my external hard drive as it doesn't do anything anymore T_T. Uploading Hana Kimi will take longer, as I have lost the files. I'm trying to get them back, I'm running testdrive now, If thay doesn't work I'm going to try recuva. If all else fails, I'm just going to cry. I lost over a TB of data, which is a lot. (And my music, I will so miss it. I had over 7000 songs) <s>At least I can still try to get them back from my ipod, but that seems to be difficult as well</s> It's messing with me, right when I should be studying :( gaaaah, not feeling very happy right now.

Second NOITANIMA series of the season. It has an art-style that is different, as did Tsuritama. But in this case, it looks very different from Tsuritama, and is less vibrant, and more old-school.

It's a series about Jazz, although there hasn't been that much jazz. We have a cynical main character as well as a weird, jazz-loving main character. The cynical main characters is kind of whimpy, but still interesting. I don't have that much to say about this anime, but I do think it's probably worth watching I'll know more once I've seen more. It's a series I'll look forward to each week, I think.

What did I just watch? Tsuritama (Fishing pearl) is one of the two NOITAMINA anime of this season. It's visuals are different, and it has a bit of a kimi to boku vibe. (Which isn't strange, seeing as we have a kaname-like character, incl. glasses, who is voiced by kanama's seiyuu and a chizuru like alien, who is voice by chizuru's seiyuu). I love Kaname's seiyuu, or rather I'm starting to love him, with his new roles. Same goes for another seiyuu here, who also did Kanata from starry sky. He voiced the turbaned character in this series.

What is this series about? Fishing. Maybe Ohno would love it? There are going to be 4 main characters, according to the opening song. One claims to be an alien, one gets really nervous in front of people, on has a Turban and the last one is a megane fishing prince. The alien seems to be able to talk with fish, and has a watergun which can control people (At least., it seems like that in this first episode) The turbaned character has a duck, with whom he talks. And if that's isn't weird enough Alien starts to live with nervous guy.

Nervous guy feels like he's drowning in front of other people. Literally, with water and swimming movements and everything. He is also moving around a lot, but he can't introduce himself, because of his nervousness. Why he moves isn't clear at all. He lives with his grandma, and as far as I could tell, she just randomly decided they would be moving. Just like she randomly let alien live with them. For a first episode, there were many, too many plotholes. I'm hoping this will get better, weirder is hardly possible.

After the big disappointment of New Prince of Tennis (what's up with having only 13 episodes, we wanted more, more more!), I started another sports anime this season. It's my second basketball anime after ro-kyu-bu, which wasn't really that sports related, but more moe. But in the Hands Off! manga's I own basketball is also played, but again as secondary theme. This is the first full-on basketball show I've seen. Was I impressed? Not that much, but it did show immense potential for the rest of the series, and was a great introduction.

It had a lot of shirtless boys, and a shadow boy, Kuroko. And it had a captain who looked exactly like the guy from area no kishi. Even with glasses and all, they like mirror-images. A new school, with only second and first years. They have a basketball team. Strong second years, who got to the finals when they were just first years. Even stronger first years, although only too of them. (I bet if you see my screens you know which one that are).

I loved Kuroko, his invisibleness, and his talent for passes. Kagami Taiga, I didn't like so much. He's to arrogant, but he is really good. And most of all, I want to see the miracle generation. It's not a replacement for Prince of Tennis, as I prefer my tennis princes over this basketball guys, but I'm still looking forward to see how this will continue.

Lot's of screenshots for this anime, because I love it that much. I'm a big fan of fate/zero, I have been since the first season. And this new season is really just a continuation of the first. I still haven't seen fate/stay night, but I recently won (yes I actually won) the fate/stay night unlimited blade works dvd, which I'm planning to watch soon. This review is based on fate/zero only.

The episode started where the first season ended, in a battle with a creepy monster on the riverbed. The monster Caster and his murder-loving master Ryuunosuke had created. All servants were working together, or at least, supposed to. Lancer, Saber and Rider were fighting the moster, Caster was controlling the monster, Berserker was attacking a plane and Gilgamesh was being arrogant, as usual.

We had a showdown sort of between Tohsaka and Matou. Kiritsugu killed Ryuunosuke with a sniper-shot. All in all this was an action-filled episode. And although my computer doesn't really like action-filled episodes, and lagged a bit, it was a really good episode, which reminded me once again why I loved this series so much. The characters are great, with a lot of variety. Kiritsugu is still my favourite, with Lancer as a close second (although he didn't appear that much). I like the explenation Tohsaka gave for giving up Sakura to the Matou's, which made sense to me, in a weird kind of way. I don't dislike him, even if he cheats, which is rather strange for me.

In the end I highly recommend this series to everyone. I love it, 10/10

Acchi Kocchi, a show supposedly about a Tsundere and her friends. I'm a Tsundere fan, it's my favourite trope, but I have to say Tsumiki doesn't seem that Tsundere to me. Sure, she is incredibly shy, and not completely honest, but not really that Tsundere. She's a bit of a mixed Tsundere if any, with being B towards Io and A towards Mayoi. If you don't get what I'm talking about here, check this article about Tsunderes. It helped me when I first heard about Tsunderes ^^

This series is a yon-koma adaption. I think that even if you didn't know that before watching this, you'd know pretty soon. It shows. For me, it wasn't that funny. I laughed, I think 3 times, 2 of which were Mayoi's broadcasts, and one was the (epic) air hockey match. It was cute, our cat-eared tsundere is plainly adorable in all of her shyness. Hime is voiced by Fukuhara Kaori, who also did Run from a-channel and Tsukasa from Lucky Star, and that truly fits her character. Io is voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto (Rin from ao no exorcist, Usui from kaichou wa maid-sama). Other then that, the voice actors/actresses aren't that well known. (Tsumiki's voice = chinatsu from yuruyuri's voice).

Tsumiki is short, and cute, and adorable. The teacher seems fun as well. Other then that, it wasn't a very good episode. Some people say it's a lot like lucky star. Lucky Star is my favourite slice-of-life and my favourite comedy, but truth to be told, I didn't like lucky stars first few episodes either. If this actually will end up being as great as lucky star, then I will be glad, but so far, it's not that good. The only parallels I can find is Tsumiki looks a lot like Konata, and of course Tsukasa's voice = Hime's voice. But Konata never was Lucky Stars Tsundere xD.

Medaka box, what did I just watch? It's a weird series, for as much as you can say so from the first episode. The story is about a student council president, voiced by Kunieda Aoi Toyosaki Aki. At  first it really bothered me that she was voiced by her, because whenever she spoke I heard Kunieda, but at the end of the episode I had gotten used to it. Ono Yuuki voiced the male student, and although I didn't recognise his voice, he has also voice Kaname from kimi to boku. I'm pretty sure the leader of the punks was voiced by katsuyuki Konishi but I have no confimation of this, other then that I adore his voice. And Kato Emiri voiced the blue-haired girl. Yay.

The art wasn't that good, and I didn't really like the character design. The first episode was way to weird for me to get a good impressions of the characters, but the main guy seems to be (and even called himself) tsundere, so I'm bound to like him. The student council president is weird, good at everything she does, and likes to help people. There's this weird blue-haired girl with a big ahoge, who was fun. So far I like her the best. (Pay special attention to her in the screens, she rolls on tables and eats way too much xD).

This episode was about the president having to make some third years leave the kendo dojo. She ended up making them join, which pissed someone off, who beat main male. Then he got beaten up by main male, and after that by the president. Not the best plot ever, right? The plot seems to be like this: The student council gets a request, and they accepted and carry out the request. It could get fun, I could get really boring. I'm looking forward to see how it becomes.

I found out how to take screens in vlc, while watching the series, so there are more screens then usual and there will be more screens as well.   6/10

Kuromajo-san no tooru
Short episode, only 7 minutes. Our main girl accidentally calls forth a black witch gyubid, while trying to summon cupid. She had a cold. Now, she has to become a black witch herself. Other then this, not much happened. Main girls voice annoyed me (and it wasn't even Hanazawa Kana). But Black witch Gyubid, who is female, is voiced by Paku Romi <3 Great voice, of course.
Not much to say about this as not much happened. (that's why it doesn't gets it's own post.)
Furusato Saisei: Mukashi no Hanashi
No screenshots, as you wouldn't watch this for the art anyway. An anime about old Japanese folk tales. The first episode consisted of three short stories. It was clearly aimed at young kids, but because I'm interested in the legends and folk tales I watched this. I recommend this to anyone would would like to know more about Japan's folk tales, but if you are not interested in things like that, don't watch this.
Kimi to boku 2
It's more of the same, with the 4 weirdos and the only sane one being Kaname <3 The sleep over at Kaname's place in the first episode which was fun (Even though his mother creeps my out). This series has definitely grown on me since the first season, and I feel like the episodes keep getting better.
